Baja Missions was inspired by a “crazy” idea. The City of Children in Ensenada had served homeless and orphaned children of Mexico for many years. In 1996, Stan Stout, former City of Children Director, heard about a small church group meeting in the town of San Quintin, Mexico. After visiting with the congregation and seeing the desire to organize a church in the area, Stan realized that this could be a path into the communities. This would help families and ultimately help the children!

It was an opportunity to change the communities of the Baja peninsula from the inside out. That “crazy” idea had officially begun!

Since 1996, 21 churches have been planted from Ensenada to the southern most church in El Rosario sponsored by our family at Madison! We began our work in 2017.

Every summer a group travels to Mexico to spend a week in El Rosario sharing the love of Jesus through our work in benevolence, a medical/optical clinic and other service projects. We’ve built a house, painted the local police station, and counted a multitude of houses in the area.

The construction of a brand new worship facility is almost ready to welcome the entire community of El Rosario to lift of the name of God in praise.

God is certainly at work on the Baja peninsula and we are grateful that we are able to be a part of His plans as we build relationships with the community!
